But that's not an EU-only thing. In essence, immigration process boils down to this question:

- can you support yourself (i.e. have job contract or enough savings)?

Prove that you can and the rest is somewhat easy, providing you follow procedures, official documentation requirements, etc.

It's still by no means an easy task. Moving to another country is hard, one of the hardest things a person can do in their life.
